Be Careful Productions presents DUVAL CHRONICLES, written & performed by Jeremy Smith

Be Careful Productions presents the Northern California premiere of Jeremy Smith’s upending, one-act show, DUVAL CHRONICLES, for two nights only, September 29 & 30 at 8pm PDT at Potrero Stage. Based on his coming-of-age memoir, Duval Chronicles, Smith takes his audience on an unfiltered joy ride through Duval County. Eliminating the fourth wall and pouring a shot, Jeremy Smith creates a jarring experience that will pull onlookers deeper into the fold of thievery, the Mormon Church, corruption, and family ties. Take a seat and buckle up. Tickets are $31 (includes a $1 ticket facility fee in support of Potrero Stage) and advance reservations recommended. For tickets, click here.

Be Careful Productions, led by Jeremy Smith and Marnee Carpenter, is a small but feisty theatrical group geared towards the underdogs and the outsiders that need to be heard.

Jeremy Smith brings DUVAL CHRONICLES to San Francisco after a six-show run in Los Angeles this past July. The memoir is expected to be released in 2024. Smith has performed on national tours where he played the roles of ‘Felix Turner’ in NORMAL HEART, ‘Michael Cassio’ in OTHELLO, and ‘Hans’ in THE TIMEKEEPERS. His work on film and television include LOVE on Netflix and WHAT WOULD YOU DO from Xenomorph Films. This is his second production working with Marnee Carpenter who directed DANNY and the DEEP BLUE SEA in which Smith starred as ‘Danny’.

Marnee Carpenter is most known for her work playing ‘Catherine Martin’ in the CBS/MGM Silence of the Lambs sequel series CLARICE – originated in the Academy Award-winning film by Brooke Smith. Other notable credits include THE ROOKIE, NCIS: LA, THE RESIDENT, and GOOD GIRLS; and her Supporting role in the Indie Feature WILD OATS opposite Jessica Lange and Shirley MacLaine. Carpenter began her acting career on stage from a young age and has since produced and directed a number of plays. DUVAL CHRONICLES is her second collaboration with Jeremy Smith.
